James Randeall Sawyers November 5, 1939 - January 18, 2023 Pinnacle, NC James Randeall Sawyers went home to be with Jesus on January 18, 2023 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. He was 83 years old. Randeall was born to the late James Aubrey Sawyers and Ruby Lawson Sawyers Sechrist on November 5th 1939 in Surry County, NC. He was the oldest of 11 children. He was a retired truck driver from Roadway Express in Kernersville, NC. He was also a deacon of Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain and a faithful member for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Reinhart Sawyers, two brothers Donnie and Darold Sawyers. Surviving are his wife Cookie Sawyers of Atlanta, GA three sons Brent (Stephanie) Sawyers, Nolan (Bobbie Jo) Sawyers of Pinnacle and Kevin Sawyers (Pete Steinauer) of San Francisco, CA. Four sisters, Frances Hicks of Pilot Mountain, Dyann (Vic) Mendenhall of Walnut Cove, Debbie (Travis) Wright of Pinnacle and Bonnie (James) Westmoreland of King; four brothers Harold (Jan) Sawyers, Ronnie (Glynis) Sawyers, Delmar ( Gaye) Sawyers of Pilot Mountain and Barry ( Wendy) Sawyers of Pinnacle, NC, seven grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain NC with Pastor Ryan Whitt officiating. Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 prior to the service. No graveside ⁶ service will be held due to rain and current ground conditions.
