#MeToo
#METOO #LiveEntertainment So many women have this story or a similar one but I share it as a survivor the aroma of the fresh cut Kentucky blue grass stirred thru the leaves of dogwood trees there blew a cool breeze of about 70 degrees nipping at the seams of my hand me down jeans worn in the knee from where patches used to be I sneezed into the sleeve of my favorite tee it was light green with a small pink dot stained from clorox usually worn with white socks But today it was flip flops dogs bark from the passing of cars it wasn't long before paw pulled into the yard after work I raced for his lunchbox didn't even let the car stop today it was half a banana a tuna sandwich and canned pop this was the routine each day around 3 until other things started happening to me submerged and immersed in a generational curse of kissing cousins cheating husbands wives that love them babies by the dozen but off limits they wasn't. Around grade 3 with only developed titty he noticed me Innocence gone trust played upon under the thumb of a few trusted ones forbidden at leaking the family secret not only did I keep it it was my turn to be it in plain sight in broad daylight is when I suffered suffered my silent plight I was messed with molested it was a pattern whenever in passing and no one was around he reached out and grabbed em I hated his attention to hear his name mentioned he was always tipsy when he messed with me reaching for my chest fondling my small breast I was speechless didn't yell didn't tell suffered in the quiet amidst a roaring hell torched by the flames of flickering flames of shame for a while it was me I blamed for having been built in a grown woman's frame but i couldn't hide it he always had a way of easily finding it I hated him I hated me why was this man touching me I built of the nerve to tell his wife she refused to believe this was her life an open and closed case I was instructed to stay in a child's place his name kept from stain for what pocket change I don't think she believed him just too afraid to leave him he was the breadwinner she needed him i figured so I told my mama the news of it hit the pit of her stomach she never doubted its truth she confessed the plight of her traumatized youth what she said said was jaw dropping news it was a hashtag me too how many of us had he did this to only God knew if more of us would come forth too
