Living On the Spectrum
I am sitting in my bed With my palm to my head Getting nowhere in a hurry Till the day that I am dead. Got the skills, yes I know But no way to let it show. Every puzzle always one piece missing - Each and every go.. I am stuck in this rut And I know it in my gut That whatever next I try I will fall flat on my but. I wish I was someone who Had the power to shine through. And let the world see All the neat stuff I can do. Living on the Spectrum, Falling on the Rectum. It can feel quote crappy Living life as an Aspie. Drowning at the shallow end Of social life's just nasty. You can't crack the social scheme, So good luck to build a team. And you have to go it solo So it's father to your dream. And your stamina runs dry As the Normies pass you by And your dreams get even father - And then father, still, they fly. Irs a lonely, wrenching rut. You keep falling on your but. And you're wondering, wondering what You can do to get unstuck. Living on the Spectrum, Falling on the Rectum. Every time A plan goes crashing My confidence, It takes a thrashing. I pissed someone off And don't know how I did it now - But there's that lashing. They all conclude That I'm just rude, Blame my attitude - That's how I'm viewed. I crash into walls That I can't see Every step, Or two, or three. Living on the Spectrum, Falling on the Rectum.
