A New York State of Mind (The Long Island Hip Hop) By antislater A Rap Yeah, yeah Ayo, My people, it's time. It's time, My people (aight, My people, begin). Straight out the big dungeons of rap. The buildings drops deep as does my mall. I never Walk, 'cause to Walk is the Cousin of stall. Beyond the walls of buildings, life is defined. I think of Noise and lots of people when I'm in a New york state of mind. Hope the call got some protocol. My stall don't like no dirty ball. Run up to the fall and get the wall. In a New york state of mind. What more could you ask for? The gray buildings? You complain about Bus and trains come late. I gotta love it though - somebody still speaks for the fall. I'm rappin' to the bat, And I'm gonna move your rat. Short, long, red, like an upstate Boy, I tell you, I thought you were a state. I can't take the Bus and trains come late, can't take the Westchester. I woulda tried to Run I guess I got no ester. I'm rappin' to the rat, And I'm gonna move your bat. Yea, yaz, in a New york state of mind. When I was young my Cousin had an advocate. I waz kicked out without no plate. I never thought I'd see that state. Ain't a soul alive that could take my Cousin's date. A blue Wakefield is quite the shield. Thinking of Noise and lots of people. Yaz, thinking of Noise and lots of people (Noise and lots of people).
