Anchor
Anchor By TD Anchor in the chest, weight sitting invisible, my arm hold proof, so the pain turn physical Anchor in the chest, Anchor weight that sit aint always visible, yeah, but still the arm hold it physical, nah, that don’t make it less In life shit always gon test, nobody invincible, just gotta keep it pushin, put in our best, Weather that storm, like it’s the norm, push against it or move with it, me I flex with the cracks, perform best under pressure, accurate cuz I’m the one that reacts I blacked out on that beat, but I woke up and spit heat, Aye, see, I never backed out, I never back down, so In a world of fonts and fronts, I move bold, Mum and Dad told me I stand out in the background, so I know I glow. Learned to blend in though, always watchin’ my surroundings, Something off, I catch wind fasho, I get a feeling not always the full picture but if I know I know Still something ’bout me jumps, I’m aware, I know, react out, might crash out, but I don’t lose control, shot ain’t open, so I wait for the reward, don’t force the wrong move just to prove I can flip the board. Controlled enough to know when to cash out, ’cause I know my window gon come again, I ain’t gotta lash out Opportunity hit big when I win. That’s for the record, when I commit, I go full send. Nah I ain’t gotta pretend. Anchor still attached, but I drag that weight with intention, Pain built strength in the pull, every scar added tension. I don’t call it a blessing, but I learned from the pressure, How to hold my ground steady when the storm change direction. Chest heavy, feet planted, I don’t fold where I stand, Had to learn some shit alone nobody taught me firsthand. Could’ve sank with the weight, instead I strengthened my hands, Now the same thing that held me got me harder to drag. See, an anchor ain’t weakness—it depend where you drop it, It can keep you stuck still, or hold your place when it’s rocky. I know when to pull it up, know when staying is solid, I don’t move just from panic—I move when I acknowledge Every angle, every current, every risk in the water, I was raised by that pressure, Mum and Dad made me sharper. Weight deep in my chest, but my head stay above it, I don’t carry pain proudly—I carry it ’cause I survived it.
