Afterlife

I’m floatin’ through the shadows, where the dreams collide, Chasin’ all my past, but the pain won’t hide. Ghosts in my rearview, they whisper and sigh, Life’s a game of chess, but I’m stuck in checkmate, why? Heart full of memories, they echo like a song, Feelin’ like I’m lost, but I’m tryin’ to stay strong. Demons in my mind, they lurk and they taunt, But I’m searchin’ for the light, like a flicker in the haunt. Countin’ all my blessings, even when it feels cursed, Every tear I shed, man, it’s just a part of the verse. Ridin’ on the waves, yeah, I’m lost in the tide, But I know I’ll find peace on the other side. Life’s a fleeting moment, like a spark in the night, But I’ll keep on fightin’, till I’m free from this plight.
