The Punchline
(Intro) Ladies and gentlemen... Welcome to my disaster. The show starts now. (Verse 1) I had a plan for my life, then life laughed first Put my dreams in a box and made things worse My luck ran away, probably changed its name Even my problems said "bro, that's insane" I talk to my mistakes like they're old friends They know all my secrets, they know how this ends My therapist would need a therapist too After hearing all the stupid things I do I don't chase success, I chase avoiding pain My life is a comedy written by my brain Every chapter starts with "this can't get bad" Then somehow it does, congratulations, man (Chorus) I'm throwing a party for the death of my pride Everybody's invited, even the lies I hide I lost my mind, but I found it funny Now my suffering is my favorite hobby My life is a joke, I'm the punchline too The universe laughs and I laugh with it too If everything burns, I'll make a joke from the flame At least I got a story with a ridiculous name (Verse 2) I made bad choices like collecting trophies My past has more red flags than a warning movie I trusted people, what a terrible crime Apparently my biggest enemy was my own mind I tried being normal, lasted a day Then my personality got in the way My problems line up like they're waiting in line Even my failures have better timing than mine People say "stay positive", that's cute advice Like telling a broken phone "just work twice" So I smile at the chaos, wave at the pain Because crying gets boring when it happens again (Outro) Maybe I'm a disaster... But at least I'm an entertaining one.
