Street Smart

The night I preached the Ramcharitmanas at a friend’s house in Edmonton. I was living in Calgary back then. I came for the weekend. I brought a friend with me. After the program I decided to leave early. One friend of mine came running to ask me if I can buy them a case of 24 Heineken he gave me the money. There are a few liquor store nearby in my hood. So I chose one that was the cheapest. In front of the liquor store there was a white girl. She asked if I can buy her liquor. I bought her a bottle of Olde English. She gave me her phone number and said she will do anything for me. Right away I was like sketchy. The next morning I gave the number to my friends. The one who asked me to grab them a case of beer. Called the number. She actually picked up. According to Google artificial intelligence picking up a girl or getting her number at a bar is boring and outdone. What I experienced in street slang. A “Line Up”. “Honey Pot”. “The Drop”. “Setting a Mark”. Basically a “Set Up”. I’m safe because I’m “street smart”.
