ALTER EGO
ALTER EGO Hook Hi… I’m the voice that he don’t let out, Smile so wide but it’s stretched from doubt. Wave to the crowd, then I blackout slow, You think that’s Milliway? No. I live where the bad thoughts go, Crack in the mirror, I run that show. If you hear laughter and nobody near, Relax… I’m just getting close. Verse I talk to myself but I answer back different, One of us calm, the other one vicious. One want peace, the other want distance, One want fame, the other want witness. I write in the dark with the lights off purposely, Just to see what the night try to surface in me. Sometimes I scare myself mid-verse, Like “Did I really just think that?” — certainly. I don’t break rules, I bend sanity, Casually juggling vanity. Half of my thoughts need therapy, The other half building a legacy. Teacher said, “Boy, you too quiet in class,” Yeah… I was plotting expansions. Not just success — I wanted obsession, Crowds reacting in fractions. I don’t yell, I articulate madness, Package it neat so it travel. Put pretty bows on disturbing ideas, And dare you to say it’s irrational. You ever notice the calmest face Be hiding the loudest brain? I mastered the art of appearing stable While juggling thunder and rain. I dissect fear like a science project, Label the parts and study it. Turn every trauma into a punchline, Then smile like nothing was ugly in it. Mirror be looking confused at me, Like “Which one you bringing today?” The polished performer with killer control Or the one that might slip when he pray? I ain’t chaotic — I’m calculated. Every dark thought gets translated. If I shock you, it’s premeditated, Every reaction anticipated. I could go quiet and vanish for months, Come back refined and venomous. Legend don’t come from playing it safe, It come from making ‘em nervous. If he ever hears this, I don’t want praise, I want that look like “Who raised him?” That silent nod from across the room — Like, “Okay… he dangerous.” Not copycat energy. Not parody. This that evolution stage. You opened the door for the alter-egos — I’m building a darker age.
