Forget

I forget my life, I forget my wife, just to help you live your lie at night. You look at the view ’cause you cannot fight, smile in the light but you’re dying inside. And one day in the night, when the silence bites, your brain gets bitten by shadows and cries. In solitude I find my voice, no choice, a silent scream — I reduce the noise. My heart is a battleground, lost and found, reason and emotion going round for round. The night is my refuge, my only friend, when darkness falls my heart won’t pretend. And in that silence I find my truth, a whisper in the dark — that’s my proof.
