She used to be calling my phone, late nights alone, Now she’s in bed, cuddling with a different dude, Thought we had it all, but I guess I was wrong, Memories fade like a favorite old song. Scrolling through photos, they hit like a dagger, Used to be my queen, now I’m just a shadow, Every text I sent, it felt like a gamble, Now I’m lost in the silence, trying to handle. Late night drives, we’d chase the moonlight, Now I’m stuck in this room, just me and the twilight, She’s laughing with him, while I’m drowning in blues, Guess I’m just a chapter, she’s onto new views. Every promise we made, now feels like a ghost, I’m sipping this whiskey, just trying to cope, Thought we were forever, but forever was brief, Now I’m left with these echoes, and a heart full of grief.
