Verse 1 – The Gospel Power Not ashamed of the gospel, that’s Romans one-sixteen, Power of God for salvation, every soul redeemed, Jew and the Greek, yeah the call is universal, Righteousness revealed, every lie reversed though, Wrath on the sin, truth suppressed by the pride, But creation screams God—Romans one, twenty-five, No excuse for the heart that rejects His light, Still mercy on the table if you turn to Christ. Hook Romans road, yeah it leads to the cross, From the fall to the throne, see the gain in the loss, Justified by faith, not the works we boast, All glory to the Lamb, yeah the Holy Ghost. Verse 2 – Sin & Grace Romans three-ten says none righteous, no not one, All have sinned, every daughter, every son, Romans three-twenty-three—we all fall short, But grace stepped in when the law went to court, Wages of sin is death—Romans six, twenty-three, But the gift is eternal life through Christ, believe, While we were still sinners—Romans five, verse eight, Christ died for the lost, that’s love demonstrated. Verse 4 – Living Sacrifice Therefore I present my body, Romans twelve, verse one, Living sacrifice, yeah my life’s not my own, Renewed in my mind, transformed by His will, Not conformed to the world, I’m standing still, Love without hypocrisy, serve with zeal, Overcome evil with good—Romans twelve is real, From the depths of my praise to the way that I live, Everything I am is the offering I give. Bridge – Israel & Mercy God’s promises stand, yeah His word don’t bend, Romans eleven—He’s faithful to the end, Gentiles grafted in by mercy and grace, All Israel saved in His perfect way, Oh the depth of His wisdom, knowledge untold, Romans eleven-thirty-three, His plans pure gold.
