I came from the struggle, pain in my chest, But God gave me strength, put my spirit to rest. They doubted my walk, said I’d never survive, But His mercy and grace kept my soul alive. I was lost in the dark, couldn’t see the way, But His Word lit the path like the break of day. Chains on my mind, but He set me free, Now I stand tall in the name of the King. ⸻ (Verse 2) I remember the nights I was broken and cold, Searching for love in the things of the world. But the world let me down, it was all disguise, Only truth I found was in Christ who provides. Now I’m walking in purpose, spirit on fire, The devil tries to tempt, but the Word is my wire. Every step that I take, I’ma spread His name, Unashamed of the gospel, I’ma praise His reign. I was drowning in the silence, fighting with my doubts, Sin had me locked, couldn’t find a way out. Broken in my spirit, heavy with the scars, But the Lord reached down, pulled me out the dark. See, the devil had a plan, but my God had more, He opened up the gates, He revealed the door. Now I walk with the Word like a sword in my hand, On solid rock I stand, ain’t no sinking sand. ⸻ (Verse 2) Every trial I face just strengthens my soul, Every setback I take, He makes me whole. I was blind to the truth, chasing after lies, Now His love is the flame that forever guides. I’m a soldier in the Spirit, marching with the light, Armor on my chest, standing ready for the fight. I ain’t perfect, nah, but His grace still covers, Was a prodigal son, now I’m lifted with my brothers. (Bridge) From the valley to the mountain, Lord, You made a way, Turned my midnight tears to the brightest day.
