Summertime highlife the sun was shining/ I’m 80’s baby with great memories of the 90’s/ different time same principle gotta put that grind in/ aspiring businessman so my minds imma mind it/ my father was a mechanic and a taxis driver/ he was strong in his heart a true survivor/ lost him in 99 I was 10 years old/ later on my life change up ten fold/ I feel I’m bout to blow mic controlling the flow/ I was gifted to get lifted like John legend you know/ they say Chris’s cross make ya jump jump/ my boom box on the street I would pump pump/ Mr softie truck outside of the building/ bubble coats in the winter protect you from the chill man/ I use to dream in the city / scream till I’m empty/ with laughter fire hydrant spraying water in the park/ baby fish in a big pond I was playing my park/ you know how it is money bars in the park/ and the old heads used to drive those broughams/ summer break I was in the Jackie Robinson program/ at that time there was a lot of things to do my sister played soft ball and also shot hoops/ must respect to the people that opened up their heart/ east to get around the city with metro card/ HOOK: the good times in the 90’s oh yeah/ the best times was the 90’s oh yeah/ take me back to the 90’s oh yeah/ and rock and rock and rock on out/ I want the bets for my fam no scam no lie
