dear God here i am at odds with you again or so it seems i have no dreams to seek with what's left of my hope it hangs from a rope i speak and speak i tried and tried to let things mend to redeem my faith my father and my friend i listened to you and what you've said you worked your way within my head with a doctrine spreading fear through dred i never did really mind the learning but now here i am as the world is turning I've come to find my souls confined and i wonder why because everyday I pray to rewind to a better time within your grace the world is burning now i find myself drowned within a sea of spite falling from within your site face to face the light turns dark within my heart you knock me down i fall and fall the clouds surround Earth bound upside-down through time and space i scream and shout what is it all about was it all a dream the forgiveness that you always teach is a reach and speech to teach
