Now I’m building a throne where my past won’t repeat, Turn the pain into power, turn the cold into heat, Telling my son he’s a king, ain’t no need to retreat, He gon’ fly where he wants, no chains on his feet. Came from the bottom where the struggle was deep, Now I’m climbing heights that they said I couldn’t reach, Showing my son he can dream while he sleeps, Taught him truth in his heart, every scheme observed, Told him, "Never let the struggle make your dreams deterred." So rise like the sun, let the beams preserve. Now I teach how the pen turn his speech to words.
