don’t let me down (sorry for the cuts)

When I was younger I wanted to be a rapper. Yeah my younger self always on my shoulder telling me “don’t let me down” I take off that night get to work drop some art full of heart and motivation because I failed to get a education working hard fuck probation grew up a soldier my heart colder as I got older my friends told me as a jit make sure to keep a stick but all that hard work made me rhyme quick, send a message full of thoughts grew up smoking behind corner shops but as I grew I realized I can just sip a sippy cup while watching the seaside and I worked and worked until my heart hurt never stopped then my heart dropped in ought realizing I was the man I was born to be Yet I still live with a voice in my head saying “you let me down” and my face shook with a frown I thought I was a clown negativity was getting closer to my proximity no motivations no inspirations just addictions but yet my younger self was always making optimistic predictions raising self-esteem then I realized I had a dream and I worked for it no matter the circumstances it was, I always worked because, my younger self pushing me forward so thoughts never had me bordered so now I know the feeling of drinking a sippy cup while watching the seaside, will you?
