Im trapped in this darkness, it's where I reside Depression's my companion, it's always by my side I'm lost in this abyss, no direction to roam Every step feels like drowning, in this ocean of home I thought I hit rock bottom, but it's a never-ending pit I'm searching for a lifeline, but it's hard to grip The demons they whisper, "You're not enough" I'm trying to silence them, but they're loud enough Then I saw her, a glimmer of hope in this night A chance to escape this darkness, and shine with new light But I'm scared, I'm terrified, of getting hurt again The fear of vulnerability, it's a weight that I can't pretend But something about her, makes me wanna take the leap Maybe it's her smile, or the way she speaks I'm taking a chance, on this love that I've found Hoping that it's real, and that it'll turn me around My heart's beating faster, my soul's on fire I'm trying to let go, of this burning desire To be loved, to be held, to be free from this pain I'm giving love another shot, but it's a risk I'll sustain What if I get hurt? What if it all falls apart? What if I'm not enough? What if I lose my heart? But what if it works out? What if it's real? What if I find my happiness? What if I heal?
