My home is one of heartache, it's a place of steel and stone, Right here I spent a life condemned, a man the world disowns. For all my crimes I pay with time, where nights glare night and day, A captive soul, a prisoner's plight, lost in life's cruel fray. The bars that bind, the walls that rise, a fortress dark and cold, A solitary cell, where shadows dwell, a story yet untold. A faded dream, a shattered hope, a future out of sight, A weary heart, a heavy load, a prisoner of the night. I long for freedom's gentle kiss, to feel the sun's warm grace, To roam the fields, a life amiss, to find a peaceful place.
