Ravens Poe

In Baltimore, where Ravens soar, Legends rise to shake the score. From 2001 to today’s fight, This flock takes flight beneath the light. Verse 1 Once in 2001, the stage was set, A defense so fierce, we won our bet. Ray Lewis led with strength and pride, A championship claimed, the city’s guide. With Ed Reed’s skill and Suggs’ might, We kept on battling, night by night. Chorus Oh, Ravens fly, through storm and flame, Black and purple, a soaring name. Through highs and lows, we’re built to last, Our future shines, built on the past. Verse 2 Then 2012, a golden year, Joe Flacco’s throws brought us near. A Mile High leap, a legendary score, The Lombardi returned to Baltimore. Ray’s farewell, a warrior’s call, Lights dimmed in triumph, we stood tall. Chorus Oh, Ravens fly, through storm and flame, Black and purple, a soaring name. Through highs and lows, we’re built to last, Our future shines, built on the past. Bridge Now Jackson runs, so swift, so bold, A new era’s here, the future’s gold. Tucker’s foot, a record blast, In the clutch, he’ll make it last. With every play, the dream’s alive, The flock will fight, we’ll always strive. Outro So chant it loud, this is our lore, Baltimore’s heart forevermore. From the past to now, we’ll touch the sky, Oh, Ravens rise, forever fly. So black and purple pot or kettle It’s be - more we do not settle. Once upon a season dreary, while we watched with hearts so weary, Over many a desperate battle fought on the football floor— While we waited, nearly sleeping, suddenly there came a leaping, As of wings of Ravens sweeping, sweeping toward the playoff door. “’Tis a team,” I muttered, “soaring toward the playoff door— Champions, perhaps, once more.” Ah, distinctly, I remember, in that fateful dark December, When Ray Lewis led defenders—fearless on the field of war. The year was 2001, the prize was won, the job well done, Lombardi claimed beneath the sun, a triumph carved in lore— A dynasty seemed destined, as greatness claimed the score, Yet, glory comes no more. From the ashes, years unfolded, rivalries and schemes remolded, Flacco’s arm and Harbaugh’s wisdom stoked the fire that once burned sore. Then came 2012’s December, one we’ll always long remember— As bold young Ravens dismembered foes en route to heaven’s door. The lights dimmed in New Orleans; the blackout couldn’t bore— Destiny knocked once more. Seasons came, and seasons faded, stars retired, names paraded, Suggs and Tucker etched their legends in the annals of the score. And then, a storm—young Jackson, sprinting past defenders’ traction, Changing games with such reaction, greatness knocking once more. “Will this Raven rise eternal?” fans and doubters would implore— “Can they soar forevermore?” And still they fight, this flock unyielding, hopes upon their shoulders building, Baltimore’s black feathers shielding hearts that seek the final roar. Through highs and lows, their tale continues, heroes born on new arenas, Chasing dreams that time demeanors, aiming high for glory’s door. Will they win it all again, beneath the banners they adore? Quoth the Raven, “Evermore.” A reflection of triumph, heartbreak, and hope for the Ravens, all through Poe’s lens.
