Perfect little dream, an ascent into white Burning bright, I stepped out of the light I woke up into a blurry static Hoping that my dream wasn't only imagined Reality forming around me like a coat of ice A storm of thoughts in my unfocused mind I dreamt of a place in the future when the damage was gone But the trails of pain, they run deep and long Long ago, I took some wrong roads and god knows Where I got lost on the path to the present Cause since I was seven i've been an exception The bastard child looking to be accepted Mind like a rainstick, an eccentric Tried to express it, but they didn't get it Living normally didnt work for me I'm lonely, so I wanted people to notice me And I'm vibrant like the lotus leaf and so it seems I got an affinity for this dissonant poetry And these vicious cycles become downward spirals And I will go down till i'm suicidal I'm like a book with mixed pages taped together But some of the excerpts have been weathered And i'm tethered to all my wrong turns Haunted places I remember and my thoughts burn 1 gotta learn, my brains a tank of battery acid But my veins remain cold and placid I gotta heal the wounds without further damage But the cuts hurt just as much as peelin the bandage Cause ive been running naked through thorns and branches I'm on my feet again, but remain unbalanced Its like ive been walking between memory and dreams Was it how it seemed when I was fourteen Was I on, the edge of bliss but these shots I missed.
