-CHORUS- I'm stronger than I look, I'm stronger than I look. -repeat- -1st Verse- The way I met her, started off something like ah love letter, the usual greet and meet, sparks when two pair of eyes meet. Ah smile with da dimples, conversation shinin, from Mobile with ah strong New York accent, real vibrant. Said she had ah condition, that affected her walking, said her accent was new, it even affected how she was talking. But she had ah glow in her so bright, it blocked out all her worries. Attraction at first site, immediately felt our energies merging. Every since that first drive around the city, we where inseparable. Introduced me to her 5 kids, all of em incredible. M.S, is what she told me she had, Multiple Sclerosis, the kind that relapse. I was like "what da fuck is dat", l let my mind do the working, started researching. Legions, all up and down ah spine, leading to ah brain, got ah body acting strange. When I first met her, she was walking with ah cane, laid in ah hospital bed for 7 months, I told her you stronger than think. Ya Ancestors see you, You got da spirit of an Indigenous Queen. Everyone we met felt the same. -CHORUS- I'm stronger than I look, I'm stronger than I look. -repeat- It's been like 2 years now that we been together, introducing family members, families never met though. Told me her mother is ah Pastor, she grew up in da Church, went into explaining how she kicked her out and how it made her hurt. Said she felt alone, even around people, wasn't treated as ah equal and the pressure made her feel crippled. It was hard to believe at first but time tells all things. Tears at night, because she couldn't have her children in her live like she wanted. Spasms in her sleep, all I could do comfort her. Give her all da love dat was taken from her. In her head that is. I saw her family loved her dearly, was helpin her raise her kids. The best way they knew how to. I explained, said M.S is tricky, calm ya thoughts down, too many make you drown. Walks all around the city, pushin her in a wheel chair. Multiple Scherosis tryinna take her from me but life suppose to fair. Any where she want to visit, I do my best to take there. When I first met her, she was walking with ah cane, laid in ah hospital bed for 7 months, I told her you stronger than think. Ya Ancestors see you, You got da spirit of an Indigenous Queen. Everyone we met felt the same.
