He dipped out the back And hopped in the truck, Jumped on the highway He was doing a buck, Weaving in and out of traffic He was pushin his luck, Till he was tossed from the whip From the tree that he struck. He could hear 12 coming He saw the lights in the distance, Shot at the first cruiser with his 9 But he missed it, Cut through a back yard Like a man on a mission, Thinking if only the guard At the bank would’ve listened. Surrounded by the fuzz He knew he made a mistake, He thought of his wife And her smiling face, He reached for the gun That he had in his waist, Saw a flash and woke up Back in front of the bank.
