Been through to much Probably do to much Probably drink to much Probably think to much Probably smoke to much Dang I lost touch 3x Start as the student then you the scholar Turn into the teacher then the proctor Could of been a doctor Broke rules in class Jumped off the porch fast Landed on my ass self inflicted set backs Make it hard to climb back can’t get that time back Crazy when you knew better And choose not to do better (2x) I had to draw a image of the man I want to be, Cause I didn’t like the image of the man that I see, It had a hold on me and I just wanted to be free, I was headed nowhere fast, Up in the clouds letting everything pass, Got evicted, Got court fines and unpaid tickets, Still had money for the drinks tho, Still had money for the smoke tho, Crazy how we think tho, My kids made me grow up fast, Man me slow up fast, Could of be a author, Could of been a poet, Could of been an inventor, Now you know it, Could of been a professional athlete, Only thing held me back was me, We can blame politics, Blame funding, Blame Biden Blame something Blame the school system Blame the corrupt system, Blame the city officials, The list can go on and on, I’m just saying we can’t point blame for all our issues, I had to be real with me too,
