Dear Grandpa
(Verse 1) I sit here with a heavy heart, memories flood my mind, Thinking 'bout my grandpa, a love that was one of a kind. In 2020, he fought Covid strong, But a tragedy occurred, a doctor's decision went so wrong. (Verse 2) The sight of him in that coffin, it pierced me deep within, Wishing I could join him, escape this world of sin. But then I remember the joy, the laughter we shared, The moments of love and care, a bond that he truly cared. (Verse 3) Every time I saw him, he'd bring donuts our way, Feeding our tummies, bringing sweetness to our day. We'd venture out to help the homeless, his heart so pure, Reading to us, singing songs, his love would endure. (Verse 4) He shielded me from harm, never wanting me to be sad, I never thought the day would come when he would leave me, dead. After he passed, life took a drastic turn, The weight of grief consumed me, my soul began to yearn. (Verse 5) I couldn't fathom a world without my grandpa by my side, His absence left a void, my emotions hard to hide. Rarely would a smile grace my face anymore, Lost and broken, my spirit became sore. (Verse 6) But then I realized, my grandpa wouldn't approve, He'd want me to find strength, his legacy to prove. So, I'm trying to change, to honor his name, To walk a path of love and kindness, free from blame. (Verse 7) His memory will forever live on, a guiding light, Through his love and teachings, I'll make things right. Rest in peace, dear grandpa, you'll always hold my heart, I'll carry your love within me, even when we're apart. (Outro) Though my best friend is gone, his spirit will remain, In my actions, my choices, and every refrain. I'll keep his legacy alive, shining bright, Grandpa, I love you, and I'll make things right
