(Verse 1) I'm spitting truth, no need for fiction This a story 'bout my step mom's addiction She got caught up in the drugs, lost her way Now she's living life, stuck in the haze Used to be a role model, someone I admired Now she's chasing highs, her soul's on fire I see the pain in her eyes, it's hard to ignore She's drowning in her demons, searching for more (Verse 2) Her life spiraling down, it's a tragic scene Addicted to the drugs, she's lost in between The highs and the lows, she can't find her way She's slowly fading, day by day I used to look up to her, she was my rock Now she's a shell of herself, in a state of shock I pray for her recovery, a chance to heal But the grip of addiction is so surreal (Verse 3) She's lost everything, her job and her pride Her family shattered, torn up inside I want to help her but she won't let me in The drugs have taken over, it's a battle she can't win I remember the good times, the love she showed Now it's all replaced by a numbness that grows I hope one day she'll find her way back But for now, I'll keep praying, staying on track (Verse 4) This is a message to anyone out there Addiction's a monster, it doesn't play fair Don't let the drugs consume your soul Take control, fight back, that's the goal It's a tough journey, but you're not alone Reach out for help, let your true self be shown Don't let addiction define who you are Break free from its grip, become a shining star
