Verse 1 There you sit with your hands on your face A lot going through your mind that can't be erased It's hard to explain, they can't see the pain So when they ask how you feel, the answers the same But deep down it's the opposite They see a smile but they don't notice Iit It's all a facade, the happiness does not exist Only time you feel at peace is when you're sound asleep Till you wake up to this nightmare You know life, she don't ever really fight fair You're quite scared it'll never end No one lends a hand, you feel alone and at night yeah It gets worse, that's when you start overthinking Then you slowly begin Asking yourself if you're really gonna make it Cause now everything's bleak and so frustrating You're tired of always having to fight It's exhausting, you try to handle it right. The weight upon your shoulders, heavy as boulders Heavy as the burden that you carry inside It's a lot more than you can take And it hurts more than you can say You're running out of options and so you pray But when you do its like God's turns to look away You don't want nobody else around, You just wanna be alone, all by yourself. It's how You plan on coping, you feel depressed and down And what use to make you happy isn't helping now They tell you it's gon be fine but you know that its not They tell you to let it out but you hold in a lot And at the end of each day you cry yourself to sleep Cause you know tomorrow's gon be just the same as this Verse 2 Yeah, I was once like you, sitting down, wishing I could walk right through The pain that I felt and just not fight. True I know that you're unhappy and it's unlike you. I know you going through a lot I do I can see your tears but that's alright too I know you wanna wake up and just smile There's a way and I can help you walk right through it Listen You ain't got to be so hard on yourself Put that down you don't got to keep on hurting yourself You're stronger than you think, gotta believe in yourself And if you can't, don't quit it all begins with a step Don't let your current situation define you Look deep inside you if you truly wanna find you Let go of all that you conceal in your mind cause It wouldn't become your past if you don't put it behind you And it's okay to feel weak, cause honestly It's a lot harder than they think but you've made it this far That means you can still win There's a reason you're here and it's not to give in There's somebody out there, who's gon be motivated by your story When you stand to tell it proudly cause you know it You know just how it feels to be frustrated and depressed But you came out of it and that's what matters in the end So what if you done made a couple mistakes? Sometimes it takes more than one mistake to learn Doesn't matter how many times you trip So long as you don't remain on the ground when you fall See you don't gotta do it alone Just take my hands, together we can do it be hopeful Got a feeling you're close to waking up from this dream to behold a New dawn like you're really suppose to
