Hey Dad, why'd she leave? Why couldn't y'all just figure shit out? Why couldn't you be a better dad? I just don't understand. Yeah. I'm out here, tryna make my way, Looking up hoping, yeah I pray. Mom left us in the dark, Dad, how did this start? Was it the drugs, the abuse? All the shit that you put her through? I still remember how she would cry, But why would she leave us too? I'm lost, I don't know where to go, Looking up praying, that Mom will show. Searching for days, why is she gone? Why couldn't she just hold on? I'm trying, to understand, Abandoned her kids, for a man. Now they're being abused, Because Dad, he's an angry man. He's hitting the liquor harder, Always looking for a fight. He's always in the wrong, He ain't never in the right. He'll bust my ass for trying, He don't wanna be alright. Mom, I know he hurt you, But, could you please come save us? Yeah, save us. Could you please come save us? Save us. Sitting in the corner, crying as I think, Back to the past, to all of those days. To every single moment, every single night, Without you Mom, we will never be alright. Forget Dad, you don't need him, Just take us. We need to escape, because this shit sucks.
