My name is Marcus Raley, also known as my artist name MARZ. I was born November 26, 1996 and raised in Mobile, Alabama. I fell in love with Hip-Hop at the age of 6, when I first heard “Wanna Be A Baller” by Lil Troy. I started listening to everything hip hop even as a young kid. Tupac, Eminem, and Lil Wayne become my top 3 inspirations to become a rapper myself. I started writing at the age of 7. I didn’t really find my prime until I started writing in the boom bap style when I was 16. My first ever song I wrote, was a remix of “Black and Yellow” by Wiz Khalifa. I’m 25 years old and spend most of all my time writing songs and listening to beats. I work as a plumber to pay the bills. I’m working on releasing my mixtape “NightMARZe” (pronounced nightmares) this summer. I write songs based on how I feel, but also to educate, inform, entertain, or tell a story. Mostly to help people the same way Hip hop has helped me. I plan to release music until I build a connection with fans.
