I'm 30yrs old and I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. I've been drawn to rap music from a very young age through the dangerous lyrics belonging to the rap God also known as Eminem. Over the years of listening to rap music made me grow a much more intricate type of respect as it is developed from both rhythm and poetry. Now with myself being a writer at heart, my love for poetry started to develop on high school after winning my very first award for English after I wrote an essay regarding the positive impact that rap music can have on somebody if they utilize it purely for an educational purposes. Nevertheless I've had my fair share of street life as well, it's something that I am not proud of but had to go through I guess because the saying goes, ' to know where we're headed we've gotta know where we've been' and it all of that darkness and negativity had to have a hand in developing the personality that I have.
