James Jensen, aka Jimmy-J or ghostly j. Was born December 22 1989 in St Albert, Alberta.
Born addicted to herrion and the lost of his twin at birth, Jimmy-J's childhood was filled with abuse, poverty, and child neglect. The family of Jimmy-J constantly moved, switching schools every couple of months. As a child Jimmy-J read comic books and wrote short story poems to escape. As he grew into a teen he turned to drugs and hanging out with drug dealers becoming a dealer himself, which eventually got him into trouble with law enforcement and his school. He then started freestyling and started a hiphop group called DOW (Dogs of War). But it didn't kick off because the step dad of Jimmy-J found out and put him down and made him burn all his songs he wrote, because they were about his life.
Later on Jimmy joined the Canadian Armed forces completed his training and would have continued but he got hurt during a excerise and was forced to be released due to his injury. Jimmy then started painting, but still writing music off and on. He met his future wife at work and have now been together for 5 years and is the stepfather to 2 kids a boy and a girl.
Everything seem to be going good for Jimmy until his mother and stepfather came back more into his life. He had a mental breakdown and was diagnosed with ptsd from his childhood.
Now Jimmy-J writes music to help cope with his emotions. His lyrics are mainly about his life and what he has seen as a child and growing up. Using eminem, 2pac, biggie and NWA as his role models he has created his own unique style of music.
