IAM_BlackRose is the definition of art & an unapologetic, unrestricted, un-cencored & forceful
entity representing zero-tolerance, truth, the unknown & a poignant symbol of beauty.
She is a 29 year-old new & upcoming Hip-Hop rapper, singer, songwriter & composer from
Johannesburg, South Africa.
With no formal training, except for a few piano lessons at a young age & the observation and
absorpbtion of the skills & techniques of artists such as Eminem, Beyonce, Chris Brown,
Schoolboy Q, Aaliyah & Partynextdoor, amongst others, she is trying to break the status-quo of
what it means to be a female Hip-Hop artist.
Inspired by your everyday situations; painful experiences endured; mistakes made; chances
granted, missed & taken; the events experienced from a recent abusive relationship & life as a
young black female in a predominantly male industry & in a world of unimaginable racism & injustice.
AM_BlackRose believes that "music is an art that should be created & not followed" & is not
holding back on creating what comes from deep within the heart, soul & psyche, past
experiences, future goals & all that lies in between.
