I grew up in Ukraine in a very big family, I've got ten siblings I learned early to take care of my things, I had only a pair of shoes I called them lucky shoes I wore the same footware on any occasion And being clear in my self-persuasion I kept my treasure for better days Taking my shoes off on my long ways To preserve my sandals I walked barefoot I watched my step on the cracked roads In summer I felt a fire on asphalt explodes The adornment items which are used for the social status to be heightened Could reveal my natural excitement The way I used to be The ability to think in advance was my guarantee For my further success I must confess that Those lucky shoes I didn't need to choose Which of them to wear 'Cause I had only a pair Beeing simple, & poor I realised a person does not need many things to get mature To understand what matters in life It made me strong in my spirit and mind I was longing for the better days to come Without knowing it was my best period of life To have a rich experience that no one can take away from me My soaking shoes in spring got wet, увы!
