This is the finished track Full song in one with my new style PART 1 the highway man come riding riding riding riding the highway man come riding riding riding riding the wind was a torrent of Darkness blowing through the Gastly trees the moon was a ghostly Galleon floating on a cloudy sea the road was a ribbon of moonlight along the purple moor when The Highwayman came riding riding riding up to the door his hat tilted left on his head his beard was neatly trimmed his coat the finest leather his Levi's were cut slim they fit without a wrinkle his boots lace to the thigh he rode with a twinkle his nine blinged with a twinkle his bike Shone with a twinkle under the jeweled sky he walked across the gravel and clashed the old inn yard he knocked light on the shutter but all was locked and barred he whistled a tune to the window and who should be waiting there but the landlord's black-eyed daughter Bess the landlord's daughter braiding a dark red love note into her long black hair one kiss for now my sweetheart I'm after a prize tonight but I should be back with a couple stacks before the Morning Light but if they come at me too hard and chase me throughout the day then look for me by the moonlight watch the me by the Moonlight I'll come to you by the Moonlight though hell gets in the way he stretched his arm to the window and barely reached her hand she lose her hair through the casement his face burnt like a brand and the black Cascade of perfume came flowing down his chest and kissed her waves in the Moonlight oh sweet waves in the Moonlight he revved his bike in the Moonlight and rode off to west he didn't come with the dawning did not come at noon and out of the setting Sun's light before the rise of the Moon when the street was a gypsy's ribbon looping the purple moor the red coat troop come marching marching marching marching marching marching up to the door they said no word to the landlord just drank his beer instead then they gagged his daughter and tied her to the foot of her narrow bed two men knelt down at the casement with rifles at they side there was death at every window and hell at one dark window cause bess could see through the casement the road that he would ride they tied her up to attention with many a snickering a jest they held a rifle beside her with the barrel beneath her breast now keep good watch and they kissed her she had her doomed man say look for me by the Moonlight watch for me by the Moonlight I'll come to you by the moonlight though hell gets in the way The highway come riding In the darkness he riding The highway man come riding riding riding riding riding highway man come riding riding riding up to door Bess Twisted her hand behind her but all the knots held good she pulled and strained till her fingers were wet with sweat or blood they stretched and fought in the Darkness 4 hours felt like 4 years till on the stroke of midnight cold on the stroke of midnight when tip of a finger touched it the trigger at least was hers an engine did they hear it it rang out bright and clear he revved his bike in the distance were are they deaf they didn't hear down the ribbon of moonlight over the top of the hill The Highwayman came riding in the darkness the Redcoats look to the priming she stood up straight and stared he rode in the frosty silence it echoed throughout the night nearer he came and nearer her face beamed like a light her eyes were wide for a moment she took one last deep breath then a finger moved in the Moonlight a shot rang out in the Moonlight shattered have Breast in the Moonlight to warn him with her death he turned and sped to the West he did not know she stood with a head bowed over the rifle drenched in her own red blood not till the dawn he heard it his face grew grey to here how bess the landlord's daughter the landlord's black-eyed daughter watch for her love in the Moonlight and died in the darkness there then back he sped like a madman shouting a curse to the sky the pavement smoking behind them his pistol held up high blood red was his boots in the midday glow wine red his leather coat when they shot him down on the highway down like a dog on the highway any lanes blood in the highway they hit him in the throat still on a Winter's Night they say when the wind is in the trees when the moons like a ghostly galleon floating on cloud Seas when the road is a ribbon of moonlight along the purple moor a Highwayman comes riding riding riding riding riding riding up to the door the highway man come riding in the darkness still riding highway man comes riding riding riding riding riding highway man comes riding riding riding up to the door Shout out to Blackmores Night Thanks for the inspiration Cant let the classics Die Rest in peace Alfred Noyes thx for these bad ass lyrics you wrote so many years ago Just updated them a bit
