Everyone was super happy in my family when the information was disclosed that the guy had proposed It had only been year but he seemed nice, funny, strong and now he has a wife And seemed like we were going to have a good life Little did we know we'd later be breathing but we wouldn't really be living Now there was a new house being rebuilt that was even bigger and nicer but it was in vain because someone had a lighter Yeah, there was a fire A friend of my mom's now husband was drunk He was just tryna cook But he got distracted and wouldn't look Before he knew it, the stove was on fire Now there's a drunk guy trying to fix a situation that's dire The stupid idiot put a blanket on the stove, When that didn't help, he went to a second story window and he just fuckin just dove And I remember seeing all the blood stained glass And all the burnt up and now dead grass Around the house but the guy survived Although I wish he would've died And I know that seems dark and suspicious and wrong But at least he's not reason that I'm writing this song!
