living in the devils world/ don't stand chance we will never be ok we will never understand SSI child them checks made ma happy/ Til them checks weren't coming in..you little shit time a get a job now cody I didn't mind though, never been scared of work/ Always been the type to never wanna ask anybody for nothing and earn what I deserve I worked odd jobs a lot but never seen the checks/ come to find later that mom spent that money on bingo and quarter sacks or "shit" Grown up now and I had my share of mething around/ Sware to God I'm done with that fuck that lifestyle I got my own kid now/ And I'm still working I'm still learning and I'm still doing my best to make my boy proud But the biggest lesson that my boy needs to know/ Is that nothing can replace the everlasting soul This is the Devils world and it's so easy to see/ You get rewarded for being evil with selfish deeds Paying millions to actors and sports stars/ But we can't even feed our homeless vets living on the streets begging for change and praying to get to tomorrow People sell their soul to make it here, "take the chip" and die/ Ask me and I'll say kill me cause Jesus is the way the truth and the life
