I'm from Brooklyn but raised in the projects. Wished to get my family out. Loved the knowledge but hated the environment. It felt wrong for my brother to be raised here. Why did he have to be raised here? Changed him so much. Don't get me wrong. There was fun. The BBQ'S in the summer. Playing with the neighbors. Yet, it didn't feel right. Not for us. Not us. I know one day, we'll be living the best life. Cause I know one day, I won't be seen as Ariana Grande or caira. I'll be seen as Beyoncé. A fucking Queen. And I pray to God it'll be soon. Cause I want my family to know how it feels to be on top. Not near the bottom. Even if it's for a second.
