I remember the day I got the news, it hit me like a ton of bricks My father has cancer, my whole world flipped I couldn't believe it, how could this be? I prayed to God, asking for mercy I saw the pain in his eyes, trying to be strong But deep down inside, I knew something was wrong The chemotherapy, the radiation Watching him suffer, it's a devastating situation I tried to stay positive, be his rock But every day was a battle, a ticking clock I held his hand, wiped his tears Promised him I'd always be near I saw the strength in him, fighting with all his might I knew I had to be there, day and night My father has cancer, but he's a warrior And I'll be by his side, forever and more. My father has cancer, gotta face the truth Sittin' in the hospital, prayin' in the booth Doctors say it's stage four, gotta stay strong But inside I'm breakin', feel like I don't belong Tryna hold it together, for my family's sake But it's hard to be strong, when my heart starts to ache Mama cryin' in the corner, tryna be brave But we all scared, don't know if he'll be saved I remember the days when he was my hero Now he's fightin' for his life, in a battle that's zero Gotta stay positive, keep faith in the Lord But it's hard to see the light, when we're all ignored So I pray every night, for a miracle to come For my father to beat this, and to see the sun But until then, I'll hold his hand and stay by his side Cause no matter what happens, I'll always ride
