But on that note hiphop has always been a space for free speech where things which are inherently controversial can be and are said. So there’s a little nod here to cancel or ‘woke’ culture to say art needs to be kept free. I don’t want to censor myself or be censored because I happen to say stuff which offends. There’s always going to be a push and pull between free speech and those who want to ban whatever they don’t like.
