Pride told me I was destined for greatness and although I don’t want to believe it was a lie, looking back now, and realize how wrong I was. Pride isn't a blessing—it's a curse, a devil lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce when we least expect it. In my latest track, "Pride is the Devil," I'm laying bare the truth about my own struggle with pride. It's cost me more than I care to admit—friendships, opportunities, moments of genuine connection. And now, even though I’m doing better , I just can’t - I don’t want to acknowledge it. Because deep down, I know how easily it can turn into something ugly. So while others may be celebrating and telling me how well I’ve done , I'm taking a step back, trying to keep that monster ego in check. I can't afford to lose sight of what's really important, not when I've come so far. We're all human, after all, and we all grapple with pride in our own way. Because in the end, it's not about the accolades or the applause—it's about staying true to ourselves and the people we care about most. Stay humble and remember pride is the devil . ~ yunko
