you look at me as though your eyes have the ability to translate my exact worth to your brain- and the rest of them as if you created me out of necessity because you know its true: you do need me. as if you could make me as you desire create me - like a biblical character... when have you ever known me to be so simple? truth is: even if you had the mental ability to call the shots here, your record in the act of following through with anything will always come back to gnaw...to miserably fail you. you're simply not that persuasive. and this journey into your dark mental emptiness has left me quite certain that i did, indeed, come first... and i see now the evidence that proves you've been shuffling around, following one huge sanctimonious lie throughout your entirety... mocking shadows in a lame display of "following the leader," ducking behind the pulpit, searching for your brain... and you were convinced i came from your rib. what an amusing fantasy... but even as i'm peeling off this skin that your burning, offending touch left feeling worse than tainted, i see the new skin underneath... already pink and freckled by the force of a new star. perhaps i'll leave it here with you for your investigation and i'll continue to peruse this evidence i've found against you that takes hold through the presence of my body and all its glorious curves. i've got my stones piled high, ready to fire and my mouth is watering... wanting to continue proving what you've always feared and, i presume, you know by now... i never needed you or your stupid rib.
