Robbed
JackWaking up to the soft light of dawn, The world beckons me to step outside, To breathe in the crisp morning air, To feel the earth beneath my feet. I begin my walk, lost in thought, The rhythm of my steps a soothing melody, But suddenly, a shadow looms ahead, And before I know it, I am face to face with fear. A stranger demands my belongings, His eyes cold and calculating, In an instant, my sense of peace shattered, As my world turns upside down. I feel a surge of panic, heart pounding, Adrenaline coursing through my veins, I turn and run as fast as I can, Fleeing from danger, from the unknown. The sound of my breath ragged in my ears, Each footfall a desperate plea for safety, I push myself to keep going, To escape the darkness that threatens to consume me. And as I finally find sanctuary, Heart still racing, body trembling, I realize the fragility of life, The vulnerability of a single moment. But I also find strength in survival, In the resilience that lies within me, And I vow to continue my journey, To embrace each new day with courage and hope.
