Our culture is diseased, our people are diseased, And pharmaceuticals are growing money on trees, Or should I say in test tubes, Viruses infect you, They only treat the symptoms so the the causes still affect you, Diseases evolve while we degenerate, On the path to destruction, our speed accserates, Curriculums in schools only teach you how to be a slave, Teach you how to work all your life just to earn a wage, Lost all our skills and traditions to survive on earth, We've been domesticated like cattle to provide the work, It must be about time we live how we're designed to be, Hunter gatherers or maybe fishermen beside the the sea, We never headed sheep or planted fields full of one crop, Cos that could only lead to spraying fertilisers nonstop, Can only push the earth so far before she can't cope, This civilization's about to hand upon its own rope, Sometimes I wish I didn't find what I was seeking, Cos then I could still live the dream cos I'd be sleeping, Hit the snooze but, but my soul has been awoken, Written in the stars a contract that cont be broken, Live for the moment, gotta find my true purpose, If my salary's my value then my life will be worthless, I've played in a system, that I see through, X-ray vision but my heart could never be true, Playtimes over for these games I don't believe in, Found my escape, I see the door, I should be leaving, But sometimes I scared to leave the shaft of the status quo, I'm edging to the door, making sure that I take it slow, Enjoying the fantasy, the fairy tale the make believe, The cure is in my grasp but it seems to be a good disease, Will life really be that much better when we're truly free, I am who I am, I can't pretend, this is truly me.
