To be be a man/ man I wish that I could understand/ man I wish I could just find a way to comprehend/ everything that it takes to be a man/ or better yet a father/ sometime I don’t know why I even ever bother/ it’s hard trying to be a father/ when you just don’t know/ or understand what it takes/ all the things that it takes/ mistakes that it takes/ the breaks it never takes/ the waits in the shakes/ being a real while being fake/all just to save their fate/ what it’s like to be a father/ man why do I even bother/ all the falls all the stumbles/ all the casts all the fumbles/ all the shit that makes you humble/ all the shit that’s makes you mad and you start to rumble/ As the rain comes down/ you can hear the sound a sound so profound/ you can tell it now/ When the rain comes down and the wind starts to break/ you can see it now clarity and pain when it breaks. I wanna teach you how to stumble/ how to stay outa trouble/ how the cookie crumbles/ and how it bakes/ how to be humble/ and fix mistakes/ In this storm till it breaks. But Man I struggle with this time and time again/ trying to to find what mind I’m in/ to be a father/ I’m blinded and/ 4/1/83 God took that right from me/ but is it right for me/ is it right to be/ on this stage with the fright to be/ more than just a father but a father with a step/ not knowin/ all the steps/not shown/ the route/right or left/ where I should be goin/ and how to be showin/ everything that I’m knowin/ the process to become a man/ till their grown/and Some times I feel so alone/in this/ back against the wall/ what to do/ and it’s/ like a constant conversation with you/ even though your gone/ and I hope you hear me/ to/I hope you answer/keep me strong/ is that you/or just the air/ is it just the hope/ are you even there/ are you gone/ can you even help me cope?.stay strong/until I get my answer/as I keep on keeping on…/trying/ self relying/ so denying/ but I really want my kids flying/ never ever dying/ spent too much time crying/ so I guess it’s up to me/bc I don’t have you/ or your love to me/to help me find a way/ to help me get threw/N understand how to be a father/ to be a man.
