Everybody ain't yo friend, gotta watch your back They smile in your face, but they talkin' smack They claim they got your back, but it's all pretend Learned the hard way, everybody ain't a real friend They say they down for you, but they quick to switch sides When the going gets tough, they run and hide Fake love and fake loyalty is all they send Gotta stay alert, everybody ain't a true friend They act like family, but it's just for show Behind closed doors, their true colors start to show Can't trust 'em with secrets or anything you lend Keep your circle small 'cause everybody ain't a friendEverybody ain't yo friend, gotta watch your back They smile in your face, but they talk behind your back Fake love and jealousy, that's the game they play Stay woke and stay focused, don't let 'em lead you astray They say they got your back, but it's all just a front When the chips are down, they're nowhere to be found Fair-weather friends only stick around for the shine But when it gets dark, they leave you behind Trust is a currency that's hard to come by People switch up like seasons in the blink of an eye Keep your circle small and keep your enemies close Cause everybody ain't yo friend, that's what I know
