Training

Came to the realisation I’ve been mistaken about what it takes to obtain greatness. It ain’t about status, it’s about the training. When fame chases you, you know you’ve made it. I’ll continue to take swings, one day I’ll make a hit. I’ll train at the gym and sweat like a pig, so when on stages, I’ll articulate quick. Honing skills to be real, I won’t need to fake it. It ain’t instantaneous, I’ll need to be patient and maintain my faith in the path that I’m paving. I get irritated, but I never stay it. Eventually, I come back ‘cause I’m motivated. I’m moving forward, ain’t staying in stasis. Exceeding expectations of those that hated. When making a bar, I attempt to raise it. That’s why sometimes I engage in failing. I consider quitting, but I’m never persuaded ‘cause I get temptations to be brave and face fears. However, the temptations contend with hesitation saying I ain’t it and that I’m just wasting my time creating. But doubting’s a phase which comes and goes like migration, it doesn’t stay for ages if I find a way in which to tame it. Like now, using doubt as rap inspiration.
