Reliving the past, in dreams I'm trapped, Fighting sleep because I don't want to see my past Everyday I try to adapt From these Visions of pain, haunting my sleep, Trying not to let them control me,no matter what I won't admit defeat Through the darkness, I'll find my way, Fight through the demons, that come my way. Every night, I face the battles within, But I won't let them break me, I'll always win. Though the dreams may haunt, I won't be confined, I'll find the strength within, leave the past behind. With each sunrise, a new chance to heal, To find peace within, to finally feel. So let the dreams come, I'll face them head-on, I'll overcome the pain, until it's gone. PTSD and depression won't define who I am, I'll rise above, like a true warrior, I'll stand. I have to remember I'm not alone To Reach out for help, let my voice be known. So Together we'll fight, support one another, In this battle against darkness, we'll discover. We are strong, we are brave, and we will find a way, To heal from the past, and seize the day.
