I love you, Hip-Hop
Knowmadd"I love you, HipHop" RECORD AGAIN, BAD VOCALS. When the beat drops I feel something in my heart/ The privilege i have to be connected to this art/ Reminiscing about when i was just a troubled youth/ Before i ever had a chance to step inside a booth/ Its all something amazing that you can never replicate/ This game became crooked i aim to set it straight/ And with meaning in your flows its like you irrigate/ Participate and innovate watch your skills elevate/ Its good for you mindstate thats the art of rhyming/ I was broke and depressed but this got me shining/ Its the silver lining and lines in your soul/ Its a talent though you either have it or you dont/ The only limitation is how much your creative/ thats a fact that oughta go without saying/ I love hip-hop and im gonna try to save it/ Give back to the craft while most only take from it/ (Chorus) my life is hip-hop its exactly how it sounds/ More then just a phase its a whole lifestyle/ The beats in the streets or graffiti in the town/ The elements are everywhere you just have to look around/ I remember three times it actually saved my life/ One incident with pills the others with a knife/ In a place so dark i swear it could eat the light/ Not a shred of hope then i heard Guru on the Mic/ My strength rejuvenated everytime i played it/ My mental state improved and finally it faded/ Im not alone though thats millions that relate/ Where a certain song prevented a early grave/ I hope maybe one day my music does the same/ I try to guide people right before they go astray/ Or have a joint to play if you had a shitty day/ Life isnt fair all the time but it will surely be ok/ We're more then entertainers we're like some sort of healers/ Its how we use the lyrics and if they even hear it/ Thats just one tale of personal experience/ I have many loves in life but hip-hop is always the dearest/ (Chorus) My life is hip-hop its exactly how it sounds/ More then just a phase its a whole lifestyle/ The beats in the streets or graffiti in the town/ The elements are everywhere you just have to look around/
