I've been tossin' and turnin' and not sleepin' well I'm feelin' lost and I'm nervous, I can't be myself Keep wanting a purpose I wanna reach for help continue pondering verses I can seem to heal my mind wandering, and searching for a me, that's real keep shuttin' me up, and cover the cuts but I'm bleeding still Don't think nothin's up with none of us you don't see it buildin' you just think we chillin' my dad always told me be resilient hope he sees his son shinin' hope he sees the brilliance I'm tryna go farther I hope to father I exceed my limits go harder with flows and bars and beat the gimmicks but most of all I want my dream and vision to be depicted with every painting and piece of speech I've written I wanna teach and listen and also be the difference Don't wanna do it all to seek attention I want to hold the keys and twist 'em in and free the imprisoned people living in a world that's purely weakness driven I can't keep living in this place of indifference to pain that I witness everyday when I could exhibit what I say to significantly break the state of victims in these chains the system wishes to enslave I wanna prove my generation isn't just a waist that we're meant to be the change after centuries of rage, physically in pain, mentally insane, use addictions to replace what's missing from our plate whether we inject it in our veins or mesh it in our brains the lessons still the same if you steppin' either why you're still kept inside a cage haven't slept I lied awake and wept til my eyes ache as I wish for divine aid
