Yeah let’s say With-in Da course of time our day is ay oh Kay Then, it turns Uh mil-lee-on ways here from far I can see his face But farther and farther he walks uh- way, dad-dee it’s me they say, “my dear, he sees He now just suf-Fers with a dih-sease Oh life turns in dif er ent ways Up side down it then starts to change I discovered My, Dad suffered with Alzheimer's, Disease sure it was tough Every day, his memory fading, it was rough Couldn't recognize his loved ones, lost in his mind But I stayed by his side, love n’ patience come- BiND His smile slow-ly fade-ing, his laugh- ter dis-uh-peared But I hellD on- to hope, wiped Uh-way my tears Rem-ih-nis-ing 'bout the good times, the memories we shared Even though he couldn't Ree- Mem-ber, I showed that I cared Alzheimer's took his mind, but not his spirit I watched him fight, never giving in-to fear, he wouldn't quit I be- Came his guiding light, a beacon in the dark Ree-Mind-ing him of who he was, leav-ing a mark We played his favorite songs, watched his favorite shows Hoping to trigger memories, make his face glow But even when he couldn't recall my name I knew deep down, he loved me just the same Alzheimer's, a cruel disease, it takes its toll But I'll keep fighting, spreading awareness, playing my role For all the families out there, going through the same Let's stand together, bring an end to this pain Dad, I'll always remember the love we shared Though Alzheimer's tried to steal it, I never dis-paired You may not have rih-cog-nized me, but I knew you were there Rest in peace now, knowing how much I care
